Just before last Christmas, Harries – who has a sister Beca, 19, and 15-year-old brother Gruff – spent a couple of weeks in Belgium filming Parade’s End, which is based on Ford Maddox Ford’s books.

Once again, Harries – who lists Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman as one of his favourite actors – found himself gaining valuable experience from his co-stars, including Benedict Cumberbatch.
